Meet your neurodivergent consultant & mentor

Sarah Eagle smiling at the camera

Nice to meet you, my name is Sarah Eagle.

I’m a neurodivergent consultant, public speaker and previously, was a mental health advocate.

Most importantly – I’m neurodivergent myself.

I was led to learn more about the neurodivergent space after the tragic loss of my brother, Ben in 2001, who suffered life-long difficulties with mental ill-health. Ben went missing Mt Baw Baw during his final psychotic episode. Ten months after he went missing in 2001, I raised vital funds and awareness for mental ill-health through my initiative, Walking Feat, where I walked the Bibbulman Track in Western Australia.

In 2023, I launched Joy Diving Australia, which came about after my own autism and ADHD diagnosis. Joy Diving Australia has allowed me to help create a culture of belonging and education for neurodivergent brains.

In 2011, I started a PhD to explore the impact of stigma and how it could be changed across society. However, I couldn’t complete my PhD. Heck – it took me 17 years to complete my undergraduate degree! While I was a keynote speaker to thousands of people, my executive functioning challenges were at an all time high, I was struggling with sensory processing issues, and I was incredibly overwhelmed. Yet, I still didn’t receive a diagnosis until after I stepped out of my PhD.

Like me, many of my clients are diagnosed later in life – and having this diagnosis was like a cloak of compassion – you finally have a why for all of the experiences that lead you up to this moment in your life.

Backed by a Bachelor of Psychology with Honours, my approach to neurodivergent consultancy is to create a culture of belonging – to guide others with empathy, understanding and a willingness to see it from your perspective.

Whether you’re working on your own, as a family, or in a corporate setting, I can’t wait to work alongside you to address the views, challenges and roles we can play to support you in growing your knowledge and understanding of neurodiversity.
